I based it on a photo, I always do. I find pictures with interesting perspectives, close ups that show expression in the face. I love drawing from photoshoots instead of other pictures because the detail is always amazing to draw. I guess it's just took practise, I've never really been shown how to draw. I mean... I took art in high school and for college but they don't actually teach you to draw specifically. It's all spare time practise, you should see my first ever drawing. It's awful!
