Silly stage tech people, though... Bubble not flying? Things like this seem to happen a bit more often than they should. Enthralling enough sure, if ye've seen it enough to get on what's happening, but if something serious were to happen... Well, I just hope it doesn't. Yeah...

Yeah I totally agree, it's kind of funny when you do know what's meant to happen but I bet first timers were confused!! And as for serious... well there was that time that the lift malfunctioned on Kerry during Defying Gravity and they had to stop the show Poor her! But she brought it back like a pro!

You mean the time she got stuck and started screaming and stuff? Poor Kerry, that didn't sound fun at ALL. But she really was amazing when she came back on, yeah!

I really want a flathead to fall over sometime when I go. Like the time CJ did and Idina just completely lost it. I honestly think I would DIE if one fell over whilst I was there.

Yeah that's the time. I know she sounds so scared (naturally!) But she really did give an awesome performance when she came back out!!

Oh yeah that would be so hilarious!! I wouldn't be able to hold it together if that happened! I can imagine the ushers asking me to leave for disturbing other people because I would still be laughing throughout the rest of the show!

I know this is a bit late...but yeah, same! With the bed blooper I was laughing well into INTG still...I was ready to take myself out and calm down if I'm honest, but I got it back together...eventually.... I get the giggles really badly...its dreadful!

I went on the 29th July and there weren't any really bad bloopers but in WITF Dianne was standing on the lower bit at the front of the stage and when she went to step onto the main bit of stage she nearly fell off! And in popular when Galinda is hitting stuff with the wand to test if its 'on' the top bit broke off and her and Ashleigh kept laughing at it for the rest of the song AND in defying gravity when shes supposed to go 'I hope youre happy, now that youre choosing this' she just looked at Ash and when she realised she was supposed to be singing she was just like 'oh um' and started singing. The conductor just looked at her oddly! I think some people in the audience knew the conductor because he got a really big applause and all the cast were laughing especially Dianne and i was like ahhh squeee!!

LOL, I heard about Dianne breaking the wand, trust her! Oh dear Dianne, oh dear!

Oh, since this is the mistakes thread - last time I went (with Michelle) Sentimental Man was mildly amusing. Sam spit on Dianne so she had to wipe it off (in a Glinda manner, of course), and then Sam was standing on Harriet's dress so when she moved it got caught, so Harriet was all 'ah, scusa!'. BLATANTLY taking inspiration from Andy Mace there!

Oh, hey--I don't know how many of you all have seen this already, but... A wonderful person on Youtube created an account and just uploaded these insane three videos of Wicked on the 26th. One of them is of the night when, during the finale, the mics blew out. I remember this being mentioned on here and thought I'd drop a link.

And may I just say... That bang SCARED me! Goodness, amazing how Ollie, Kerry, and Di just acted like nothing happened! Such pros. =) I've watched it like, seven times now, and I think Di got her mic back in time for the singing? No doubt she could have belted it no problem, but it's just the clarity that makes me think Tech got their act together. I don't think Kerry did, though, as I can't hear her at all during her "Because I knew you" line. Way cool, anyway, though.

I had just seen it when you posted it! Yes, I can't hear Kerry in her lines, but in the comments the people who were there say that none of the mics seemed to work and Dianne was "simply" projecting a lot. If that's the case, she's amazing, her last lines have such clarity, as you say. (Well, she's amazing anyway )

Thanks for the link anyway! Glad there are videos of these shows, it's really great for the people (like me) who don't get the chance to go and see them

From what I've heard, she didn't get her mic back, she was just belting it out, haha, someone apparently asked her about it after the show at SD and she blamed it on her 'big northern gob'.

Well, just returned home from an EPIC Wicked Mat trip with Rach (imaginarypeanut) and Ria (unicorn11) and I think we decided I would let the bloopers be known! So:

Firstly, the wheelchair in the Shiz scene where Elphaba gets annoyed that Nessa is being taken away by Morrible, well, the wheelchair just did not move. It just sat there with smoke coming out of it. Natalie (Nessa) was looking round like "WTF is going on?!" and Ashleigh, who was on as Elphaba, was doing these really slow deliberate steps toward it to show it coming to her?! Natalie was yanking at the wheels trying to get it to shift just a teeny bit but it just didn't

Then in DTL, Dianne hit herself in the face with her wand as she was doing her squeel after "Madam, is that a training wand?" Too funny, she was like "oooo!" and giggling as she spoke her next line. Oli was laughing but mouthed "are you alright?!" to her. Also, after the Elphie dance, where Glinda and Elphaba watch everyone else perform, she was saying to Ashleigh "I hit myself in the face with the wand!" and the three of them were giggling about it at the back as they dance together.

There was also some serious crashing and banging when Dianne threw the wand off stage in Popular and she was giggling at that.

Have to say, Dianne was on FIRE and Ashleigh was Ash-Mazing!

^ You forgot to mention a random ensemble member accidentally whacking Dianne in the head during OSD, and Dianne looking around all like 'what the fook was that?!' and laughing through the rest of the song!

AND Dianne not being able to unplait all of Elphaba's hair in Popular so had to go back and finish unplaiting!

Best moment was her hitting herself in the face though.

WOW, sounds like an interesting show! It sounds like Dianne often gets hit with things... Must wonder just what she destroyed backstage during Popular...

Can't believe the wheelchair didn't move, though! D'ah, newcomers (If there are any left! Who hasn't seen Wicked now? xD) must have been quite confused... Bahaha. Thanks for sharing, guys--most entertaining.
