Well, I think the whole of Wicked-dom is currently loving the GrayShaw so I thought they deserved their own thread!

For anyone who doesn't know, GrayShaw is dedicated to our Super Wicked London Standby's Ashleigh Gray (Elphaba) and Sarah Earnshaw (Glinda). Always accommodating at Stage Door, dead quick in replying to fanmail and they are just super smashing great

So if you have an urge to discuss GrayShaw...thread away! I'll probably go first...

I said I'd go first - So as we all know, Dianne is on hols and Sarah is doing a week as Glinda and lo and behold, Alexia has been struck down with some illness (poor Lex ) and Ash was thrown on during "Popular" last Friday and since then...well, it has been GrayShaw Goodness at the AV!

Went up Saturday to see both shows with Ria (Unicorn11) and, OMG, they were fantastic. We all know what good mates Ash and Earnie are in real life and their chemistry on stage is just brilliant IMO. WITF was the funniest thing ever and Earnie totally sang her "Two best friends" line in OSD with real feeling, it was BEYOND sweet. Her Glinda is very different to Dianne's and I think it's interesting to note that people laugh in totally different places for both of them. I like that Also, their For Good was just...ash-mazing and earn-tastic!

Oh and BTW - If you haven't joined "The Ash N Earnie Appreciation Society" Group on Facebook - Please do! Special shout-out to TheatreFanFran who joined first after I created it (see, I remember!) and imaginarypeanut, co-inventor of GrayShaw and one of our glorious Admins!

Ash is totally my fav elphie ever ... she gives the character such depth and passion
I saw her on the 28th and she was INCREDIBLE .. her "no good deed" was the best i hav ever heard it, she was fierce
her "im not that girl" was just so heartbreaking i cried
ive seen her twice now and i cant believe she isnt principle elphaba ... she totaly and completely deserves it
ive seen sarah once and i thought she was wonderful really wonderful .. i prefer dianne but sarah was incredible
im soooo sad i didnt get to see a grayshaw show coz i just know from seeing both ash and sarah separately it wud hav been an outstandingly amazing show
i totally believe that these 2 amazing standbys deserve to be principles at the next cast change ... go grayshaw!!!
oh and by the way i love the ash N earnie appreciation society on facebook wat a brilliant idea

dianneroxs you are SO right - Ash's NGD is beyond epic. She's also a good 'un for riffing, she riffs differently every time I see her, even on Saturday she was changing them between the matinee and the evening show. Got's to love the Ash

I love Ashleigh, it was her and Dianne performing when i went to see it. <3. Haven't seen/heard any of Sarah though!

Love GrayShaw! As you know Meesh!! The both of them are just so so lovely, they are always more than willing to have a little chat with you at stage door (well not that the others aren't but they don't make you feel like you are holding them up or anything!) and Ash's No Good Deed is just epically wonderful! And Sarah with her faces when you wore your t-shirt to Sat-Di-Day 2 Meesh... awesome!!

GrayShaw are on AGAIN tonight! I think it will be a double tomorrow too, and Ash will be on when Dianne comes back

I think Rachel was doing some mad stats last night indicating that when Dianne is on holiday there is a greater chance of GrayShaw than when Alexia is on holiday!

It's fun to have shout-out's, very under-used they are!

I'd love to see these two! I heard a recording of Ash doing Defying Gravity on youtube and it was ace, I think she sounds better than Alexia. But I could be bias cuz she's a Scot.

Her accent comes out at various points and it's just SO damn cute! Totally different voice to Lexie - not as "nasal".

I wish I could have seen the awesomeness that is GrayShaw! I was in London yesterday and Tuesday but couldn't see them Can't wait til I finally can though! Youtube shall do for now I guess

I tell you, the 2 GrayShaw Shows on Saturday were just awesome I have a plan re: the audio of the whole evening show so hopefully I shall be able to send that out at some point in the next few weeks!

If you turn up to a random show without checking holidays and stuff first, your chance of Grayshaw is 3.712%. If you turn up to a show where there are no planned holidays, your chance of Grayshaw is 0.5%. At a show where Lexi has planned holiday, the chance of Grayshaw is 1.743%. But at a show where Dianne has planned holiday, the chance of Grayshaw rises to 24.2%!

So these statistics prove to us that if you want Grayshaw, just go to a couple of planned Earnie shows and you will probably end up with Grayshaw at some point!

That is some skillage you have there! And thank you! Now I shall try to plan to see GrayShaw and see if it happens! It kinda sounds a bit like predicting the weather I'm not sure why though!
