Oh it's been bothering me for ages! When I was living in Norway, I got some English stamps when I went to London but I guess you can't do that.
I know someone from England sent a fan letter to eer was it Julia Murney?... and put UK stamps on the return envelope and still got a reply - took ages but still. Megan Hilty even paid for somebody's postage lol.
I'd say use the Italian stamps and see what happens. Or PM me your address and your letter to Dianne and I'll print it out and give it to her this Saturday, Ive got some spare stamps to Europe.

I would suggest you go to the Post Office in Italy and whatever stamps you would have to use to get a letter to England, you buy the same again and put on your envelope to be returned, writing "Air Mail" on the envelope. Or, I don't know if you guys have the facility, just purchase a pre-paid "Air Mail" stamp (which would cost the same as the value from the UK to Italy) and attach that to the SAE?

I think over here we still class stamps as currency so theoretically it shouldn't matter if you post something to Italy with Italian stamps from the UK. It may just take a while to get there, as the previous post mentioned!

Ok thank you!
I think I'll try and go to the Post Office and ask them if they know what to do (and possibily they'll explain me the Air Mail thing that's not very clear in my small mind  ).
Thank you Lucie, you're very kind! But I'm doing some mail-art so the envelope is pretty important
Or another way could be to send some money to buy the stamps, I should have some pounds left from my last holidays...

Thank you!

Smile :-)

Yeh she paid mine. I sent her a SAE with a UK stamp on it and I got her reply in a completely different envelope. She'd re-written my address and paid the postage for the US + AirMail stamps. She's lovely. She did the same thing for my friend :)

I'm still anxiously waiting for my response... Though I'm now sure that my IRC (International Reply Coupon) works :-) I've just received a signed photo and a short letter from Julia Murney!! I'm so excited, though I'd really love to get one from Dianne too, not that I want her to waste her time answering me, but I can hope, can't I?

So here's for everyone who lives outside the UK: you can buy an IRC at your local post office, it's the same for every country and it can be changed by the recipient with the righ postage stamp. It costs a little more than a regular stamp obviously but I think it's worth it :-)

Good Luck everyone with your Dianne mail!

I GOT DIANNE MAIL!

She didn't send me a signed headshot, but she did send me back a note:

'Dear Rachel,
What a great card! Thank you so much - I have pinned it up for all to see on my door!
Love, Dianne Pilkington'

Squeeee, I would have loved a signed headshot so I could have a pretty signed Dianne picture, but my card's on her door! It was a pretty epic card though, I bought it YEARS ago before I even knew about Wicked and never used it and then found it again a couple of months back, lol. It said, 'Although I can accept talking scarecrows, lions and great wizards of emerald cities, I find it hard to believe there is no paperwork involved when your house lands on a witch.'

I sent mine back in March, so it's taken about two months to get a reply. Lucie sent hers a few weeks ago (Yeah, I'm just... answering for her now  )
